The Kiwanis Duck Derby began in 2021 and is a unique fundraising event! Each duck supports the efforts of McHenry Kiwanis in serving youth in the McHenry area.
Adopt a duck and watch it float down Boone Creek at the Green Street Bridge along the Downtown Riverwalk.
Based on the total number of ducks adopted, 1st – 5th place cash prices will be awarded. Additional gift certificate awards for up to 20+ more winners! For our fourth year, we have 1500 ducks.
Anticipated awards (if all ducks are sold): 1st place = $500, 2nd place = $400, 3rd place = $300, 4th place = $200, 5th place = $100
Online registration ends at 8:30 am on July 20, 2024. Adopt a duck at the event for $5 cash/duck. Same day sales at the event.
